Mini Maple Bacon Ice Cream Cakes

Hello Puppy Cake Creators. My inspiration this week came from Dairy Queen’s ice cream cakes! I love the smooth ice cream, and the crunchy fudge in the middle. So we are going to be making Mini Maple Bacon Ice Cream Cakes! Let’s get baking!

Let’s get started!

What You’ll Need

1 Pint of Puppy Scoops Maple Bacon

1 Cup of water

1 Cup Peanut Butter

½ Cup of your dog's favorite biscuits crushed

Turkey Baster ( Not Necessary)

Mini Cake Silicone Molds (any silicone will do)

Cookie Sheet (Optional)

First, grab your pint of Maple Bacon Puppy Scoops. Empty mix back into the container and add 2/3 cup of water and stir until clumps are all gone. Then grab your silicone molds and turkey baster. Make sure to place your molds on a cookie sheet, this just makes the transfer to the freezer mess-free!

Next, fill up your turkey baster and evenly add enough of the ice cream mixture to cover the bottom of each mold. Then gently pick up and drop your mold to even distribute the ice cream, remove bubbles and so it lays flat. After this step is done, you will need to freeze this layer of ice cream for at least 3 hours. Put the remaining ice cream in the fridge, you’ll need it later.

Once the first layer is frozen, begin making your peanut butter crunch layer! In a small bowl, mix together peanut butter and fold in the crushed up biscuits. If it is too thick, at 1-2 tbsp of milk (I prefer goat's milk). Then grab your mold out of the freezer and add the peanut butter crunch to each mold making sure that there is enough room for one more ice cream layer. Then put the molds back in the freezer for another hour.

Lastly, grab the remaining ice cream mixture and add another layer of ice cream to each mold. Put back into the freezer for another 3 hours.

Once the ice cream is completely frozen, pop one out and serve your puppy their very own Mini Maple Bacon Ice Cream Cake!

Freeze the remaining ice cream cakes for up to six weeks.

Carrot Cake Recipe

Hello Puppy Cake Creators! Did you know carrots are an excellent low-calorie snack that is high in fiber and beta-carotene, which produces vitamin A. Plus, crunching on this orange veggie is great for your dog's teeth! So today we are making a carrot cake for your pup, lets get started!

What You’ll Need

1 Pumpkin Puppy Cake Mix

1 Egg

¾ Cup of Water

¼ Cup of Vegetable Oil

1 Cup of shredded carrots

3 6in Cake Pans

First, pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees and spray each cake pan with non-stick cooking spray.

Next, grab a medium sized bowl. Add cake mix, egg, oil, water, and carrots and stir until all of the clumps are gone. Then pour equally into each pan.

Place pans in the oven and bake for 22 minutes or until you can stick a toothpick into the center of the cake and it comes out clean.

You can choose to ice this cake using the included icing packet. For this recipe, I choose to leave it un-iced.

Wait until the cake is completely cooled before serving it to your pup!

Remember to feed treats to your pup in moderation based on your dog’s age and weight!

Carob Peanut Butter Ice Cream Cake

Hello, Puppy Cake Creators! This week we are going to be creating the ultimate carob, peanut butter cake for your pup! Let's get started!

What you Need:

3 box of Carob Cake Mix

3 Icing packets – which are included in each cake mix box

1 Pint of Carob Puppy Scoops

1 Silicone Paw Print Pan

3 – 6” Round Cake Pans

1/2 Cup of Peanut Butter

1/4 Cup of Oats Milk

First, make your carob puppy scoops paw prints the night before, so that they are ready when your cake is done. All you need to do is, add the carob ice cream packet to a blender along with 2/3 cup of water, blend, pour into molds, and freeze for at least 5 hours.

To start making our cake- pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees and spray each cake pan with non-stick cooking spray.

We are going to make all of the carob layers at the same time so we need to double the recipe on the back of the cake. In a large mixing bowl, combine both boxes of cake mix, 3 eggs, 3/4 cup of oil, and 2 and 1/4 cup of water. Mix until all ingredients are blended, and lumps are gone in the batter. Once the batter is completely mixed, pour the carob cake batter evenly into two of the three cake pans.

Place the cake pans in the oven for about 20 minutes or until a toothpick placed in the center of the cake comes out clean

Once all three cake pans have been removed from the oven and the cake has cooled, you can start making the icing. Each box of cake mix contains a packet of yogurt icing. You will need to use all three packets of icing on the cake! Add all three packets of icing to a small to medium sized mixing. Then add the peanut butter and oats milk and whip in a mixing bowl.

Once all three cakes have cooled, place one of the carob cake on a plate and a small dollop of icing and spread the icing to cover the top of the cake. Then repeat, by placing another carob cake down on top of the carob cake and spreading a dollop of icing all over the top. Finally, repeat the last step with the remaining carob cake.

Then take your ice cream paw prints out of the freezer and place 6-8 around the rim of the cake. As an added touch you can crumble up some dog biscuits to sprinkle on the top as well.

Now your beautiful three layer cake is ready for your pup to enjoy! Cut a thin slice of cake, and serve to your furry friend! Please remember this dog treat should only be fed to your dog in moderation and take into consideration their height and weight when serving them a slice.

To store, place the cake in an airtight container for up to 5 days. You can also place it in the freezer for 2 months!

Strawberry Ice Cream

Hello Puppy Cake Creators. Did you know strawberries are not only safe but good for your dog? Yup, strawberries can actually help whiten your dogs teeth and packed with nutrients to support your dog's overall health. So this week we are making Strawberry Ice Cream. Let’s get started!

What You’ll Need

1 Pint of Puppy Scoops Vanilla

1 Cup of frozen strawberries

2 Silicone Mold

A Blender

Turkey Baster (optional)

First, get your blender ready. Make sure its washed and plugged in. Then grab your pint of Vanilla Puppy Scoops. Empty mix back into the blender; add 2/3 cup of water, and frozen strawberries. While its blending grab your silicone molds. Make sure to put your mold on a cookie sheet. This makes transfer to the freezer so much easier!

Next, if you have a turkey baster I would use it. It works so much better than trying to pour. Take the strawberry banana mixture and your baster and fill it up. Dispense mixture into the molds. Repeat until you’ve used all of your molds. Then transfer your tray with your molds to the freezer.

After the bones are completely frozen pop one out from the mold and call of your perfect pooch! He or she will be begging for their Strawberry Banana Ice Cream!

Freeze the remaining cubes for up to six weeks.

Easter Mini Pup-Cakes!

Hello Puppy Cake Creators! Hippity-Hopp Easter's on its way! Save this post so you can make your doggie a super simple and fun treat to celebrate!? Lets make some Easter Mini Pup-Cakes!

What you'll need

1 box of Carob cake mix

1 egg

3/4 cup of water

1/4 cup of vegetable oil

?1 container of unsweetened Greek yogurt

1 mini cupcake pan (24 count)

Decorative mini cupcake wrappers

Sprinkles

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. In a medium mixing bowl, stir Carob Cake Mix with the egg oil and water until smooth. Prepare your cupcake pan by placing decorative wrappers in each of the 24 cupcake spots. Take a spoon and carefully scoop batter into each of the wrappers until they are 2/3 full.

Place in the oven for 20-24 minutes or until a toothpick can be inserted into the center of one of the cupcakes and come out clean. Once you have removed the cupcakes from the over, let them cool for 10-15 minutes.

Once the cupcakes are cooled, open your unsweetened Greek yogurt and place one spoonful on top of each cupcake. Top with sprinkles and allow your doggie to enjoy!?

Berry Banana Marbled Paws

Hello Puppy Cake Creators. Did you know most berries and bananas are not only safe but good for your dog? Berries like blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries provide the same nutrients for dogs like humans! Plus, they contain high levels of water so they are super refreshing! Today we are going to be making Berry Banana Marbled Paws!

What You’ll Need

1 Pint of Hoggin’ Dogs Banana

1 Cup of mixed berries ( I used blueberries, raspberries and blackberries)

1/3 Cup of Water

2 Dog Paw Silicone Molds

A Blender

Turkey Baster (optional)

First, get your blender ready. Make sure its washed and plugged in. Add berries and 1/3 cup of water to the blender and blend until the berries become the consistency of a puree. Transfer this mixture to a bowl. Clean your blender. Then grab your pint of Banana Hoggin’ Dogs. Empty mix back into the blender; add 2/3 cup of water, and blend. While its blending grab your silicone molds. Make sure to put your mold on a cookie sheet. This makes transfer to the freezer so much easier!

Next, take the berry puree and add a little bit ( the tip of a spoon’s worth) to the bottom of each mold. Once this is done take your molds and lightly drop them on the table so the puree completely covers the bottoms of each mold and its even.

Next, if you have a turkey baster I would use it. It works so much better than trying to pour. Take the banana ice cream mixture and your baster and fill it up. Dispense mixture into the molds. Then take a little of the puree and add it to the top of the mold and use a knife to create a marbled effect. Repeat until you’ve used all of your molds. Then transfer your tray with your molds to the freezer.

After the bones and paws are completely frozen pop one out from the mold and call of your perfect pooch! He or she will be begging for their Berry Banana Marbled Paws!

Freeze the remaining ice creams for up to six weeks.

St. Patricks Day Shamrock PupShake!

Hello Puppy Cake Creators! Looking for a fun treat for your pup to celebrate St. Patrick's Day? Look no further! We've got the perfect recipe for you!

Shamrock PupShakes

What You'll Need:
2 cups organic spinach
1 cup plain Greek yogurt
1 pint of Puppy Scoops Vanilla Ice Cream Mix
5-6 mint leaves
1 cup water

Directions:
To make this recipe, you will first need to prepare the vanilla ice cream mix. Follow the instructions on the back of the container by adding water and mixing until all the lumps are gone. Place the ice cream mixture in the freezer for 5 hours.

Once the ice cream is ready, place all of the above ingredients in your blender. Blend until smooth and creamy. Pour the Shamrock shake into a glass or bowl for your pup and top it off with a dollop of Greek yogurt and a small mint leaf!

Mixed Berry Parfait

Hello Puppy Cake Creators! One of my favorite ways to eat cake and ice cream is in a parfait! So this week we are making mixed berry parfaits. I’m ready, are you ready? Good, lets get started!

What You’ll Need

1 Box of Puppy Cake Banana Cake Mix

1 Cup of Puppy Scoops Vanilla

1 Cup of frozen mixed berries

3 6in Pans

Sundae Cups or stemless wine glasses

Before you make your parfaits have your vanilla ice already made and frozen. To do this, empty the ice cream mix into its container, add 1/3 cup of water, put in the freezer for 5 hours.

First, pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees and spray each cake pan with non-stick cooking spray.

First, we have make our banana cake. In a large mixing bowl, combine banana cake mix, 1 egg, 1/4 cup of oil, and 3/4 cup of water. Mix until all ingredients are blended, and lumps are gone in the batter. Pour into your pans.

Next, put all three pans in the oven and bake for about 20 minutes or until a toothpick placed in the center of the cake comes out clean

Once all three cakes pans have been removed from the oven and the cakes have cooled, you grab you sundae cups. Start by adding some berries to the bottom. Then add a small scoop of ice cream. Next cut a piece of cake to fit into the cup. Repeat this pattern until your reach the top.

Now you are ready to serve your Blueberry Parfait to your furry best friend!

Bacon and Cheese Sundae

Hello Puppy Cake Creators! This week I thought since it’s starting to warm up I’d make a super savory sundae for my furr baby! I came up with a cheese and bacon sundae topped with bacon treats and cheese sauce! This recipe has a lot to it so make sure to feed this to your dog in moderation and consider your dog’s size and weight when deciding on how much to give them. Let’s get started shall we!

What You’ll Need:?
1 Cup of Cheese Hoggin’ Dogs?
¼ of Shredded Cheddar Cheese?
A few True Chews Chicken Bacon Recipe Dog Treats (Can buy from Chewy)?

Before you begin putting your sundae together, take your cup of Hoggin’ Dogs and follow the instructions on the back. Start by emptying each mix back into their cup, add 1/3 cup of water to the ice cream mix and stir until the clumps are completely gone. Place the container in the freezer for at least 5 hours.?

Once your ice cream is frozen, take it out of the freezer and let it thaw for 15 min. While the ice cream is thawing, break up the Chicken Bacon Dog Treats into small bits. ?

Once the ice cream is thawed, grab your sundae cup and ice cream scoop. Add one or two large scoops of cheese ice cream to the bowl. Top the ice cream with the shredded cheese and bacon bits & serve to your pup!?

Puppy Carrot Cake

Hello Puppy Cake Creators! Did you know that carrots are an excellent source of vitamin A, potassium, and fiber, among other vitamins for your doggie? It is true!! Carrots are an affordable and nutritious snack for dogs! This week, we included carrots in our weekly recipe - check it out!

Carrot Cake For Dogs

What You'll Need:

1 box of Puppy Cake Banana cake mix

1/2 cup of shredded carrots

1/4 cup of vegetable oil

1/4 cup of unsweetened apple sauce

1 egg

3/4 cup of water

pinch of cinnamon

6" cake pan

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. The follow the directions on the back of the cake box by mixing 1 egg, 1/2 cup of shredded carrots, 1/4 cup of oil, 1/4 cup of unsweetened apple sauce, 3/4 cup of water, and a pinch of cinnamon together with the cake mix. Stir together until all the ingredients are blended and the lumps are gone in the batter.

Spray one 6" cake pan with non-stick cooking spray and pour the mixture into the cake pan. Place the cake pan in the over for about 20 minutes. Once the cake is done baking, allow the cake to cool for 5 minutes.

While the cake is cooling, make your icing! Simply add 2 tablespoons of water to the provided mixture. Once the cake is done cooling, remove the cake from the pan and place it on a plate. Cut the cake in half. Smear icing on top of one half of the cake and then place the second half of the cake on top of the iced portion. Smear the remaining icing on top of the second half.

Valentines Day Red Velvet Cookie Dippers

Hello Puppy Cake Creators! Are you looking for the perfect treat to make your pup for Valentine's day? Look no further! This fun, red treat is the perfect way to show your doggie extra love on the 14th!? Today we are going to combine our red velvet cake mix and our shortbread cookie mix to make Red Velvet Cookie Dippers! Lets get started!

What You'll Need:
1 box of Puppy Cake Red Velvet cake mix
1 box of Puppy Cake Shortbread Cookie Mix
5 tablespoons of vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 cup of water
1 1/2 cups of flour

Directions:

Preheat

your oven to 350 degrees. Combine the Red Velvet mix and Shortbread Cookie mix into a mixing bowl. Add the 2 eggs, 5 tablespoons of vegetable oil, and 1 cup of water to the mixing bowl and stir until all of the ingredients are blended together.

Begin slowly adding the flour to the mixing bowl. Continue adding flour to the mixture until you are able to roll the dough into a ball. Once the dough is able to be rolled into a ball, transfer the dough to a pastry mat and use a rolling pin to flatten the dough evenly to 1/4 of an inch.

Once the dough is flattened, take a cookie cutter and begin cutting out your cookie dippers. Transfer the dough shapes to the cookie sheet. Once

complete, insert your cookie sheet into the oven for 6-8 minutes.

When the cookies are done in the oven, remove the cookie sheet and allow the cookies to cool for 5-10 minutes. During this time, prepare your icing

by adding two tablespoons of water to the icing mix. Then, take a cooled

cookie and dip one end into the icing. ?

Once all of your cookies are complete, allow your doggie to try the delicious cookie!!

- 1 Box of Carob Cake Mix (or flavor cake of your choice)
- 1 Cup of Vanilla Ice Cream Mix (of flavor ice cream of your choice)
- Circle Cookie Cutter (or desired shape)

Directions:
To start, open the ice cream mix and stir in 1 cup of hot tap water. Stir

very well until all lumps are gone. Replace lid and freeze for at least 5 hours.
Next, bake the cake. Follow the directions on the back of the cake mix box by adding 1 egg, ¾ cup of water and ¼ cup of oil.

Stir well and pour into a 6” pan coated with non-stick spray. Bake at 350 degrees for about 15-20 minutes. Once done, set aside to completely cool.

Once your ice cream is now firm and frozen and the cake is completely cooled, cut out your cake using a desired cookie cutter. I used a 3” circle cookie cutter. Scooping out the ice cream, place a generous amount of ice cream on one of your cakes and place another cake on top of the ice cream, creating a sandwich.?

Now you have a healthy and dog-friendly ice cream sandwich, made just for your dog. All you have to do it hand over the ice cream sandwich and let your dog enjoy their tasty treat!

Apple Bacon Spice Cookies

Hello Puppy Cake Creators. I was trying to come up with a new cookie recipe that was a perfect combination of savory and sweet. What I found while researching is that apples are a great source of A and C, as well as fiber for your dog. They are low in protein and fat, making them the perfect snack. So this week we will be making Apple Bacon Spice Cookies! Ready? Let’s begin!

What You’ll Need

1 Shortbread Cookie Mix

1 Cup of Peeled and diced Apples

1/4 of Bacon Bits

Cinnamon

First, pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees and cover a cookie sheet with parchment paper.

First, we are going to make our cookie dough. In a large mixing bowl, combine cookie mix, 1 egg, 1/4 tbsp of vegetable oil, and 1/4 cup of water. Mix until all ingredients are blended, and lumps are gone and you have a ball of dough. Then add apple, and bacon. Mix thoroughly.

Next, create balls out of your dough and place cookies on your cookie sheets and poke with a fork to prevent air bubbles. Add a small pinch on cinnamon to the tops of each cookie. Bake for 8-12 minutes.

Wait until the Apple Bacon Spice Cookies are completely cool before serving one to your perfect pooch!

Refrigerate the remaining biscuits for up to one week.

Chicken Pot Pie Biscuit

Hello Puppy Cake Creators! Who doesn’t love the warm, comforting aroma of a chicken pot pie baking in the oven. This was the inspiration for this week's recipe. Today we will be making chicken pot pie biscuits! Let’s get started!

What You’ll Need

1 Box of Shortbread Mix
1/2 cup Chicken cooked and shredded (DO NOT SEASON)

1/2 cup Peas cooked and mashed

1/4 cup Carrots shredded

1/4 cup Chicken Broth

1-2 Tbs of Flour

First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees and cover a cookie sheet with parchment paper.

First, we are going to make our cookie dough. In a large mixing bowl, combine cookie mix, 1 egg, 1 tbsp of vegetable oil, and 1/4 cup of water. Mix until all ingredients are blended, and lumps are gone and you have a ball of dough. Then add chicken, peas, carrots and chicken broth, and flour. Mix thoroughly.

Next, roll out dough on a floured surface until the dough is about 1/4 inch thick on all sides. Use the bone cookie cutter to make your biscuits. Then place cookies on your cookie sheets and poke with a fork to prevent air bubbles. I brushed the treats before baking with an egg white for the shiny effect but this is not necessary. Bake for 15-20 minutes.

Wait until the Chicken Pot Pie Biscuits are completely cool before serving one to your perfect pooch!

Refrigerate the remaining biscuits for up to one week.

Peanut Butter Bundt Cake

Hello Puppy Cake Creators! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas given the crazy circumstances we are in! This week we are leading up to the new year and I don't know about you but I am ready to say "Goodbye" to 2020! This week I wanted to make something easy but is sure to be a favorite for your pooch. A peanut butter Bundt Cake! This one is so easy, so lets get started!

What You'll Need:

1 Puppy Cake Peanut Butter Cake Mix
1 Bundt Pan

Start by pre-heating your oven to 350 and spraying your bundt cake pan with non spray cooking pand or traditional greasing.

To make the cake mix, combine cake mix, an egg, 3/4 cup of water, and 1/4 cup of vegtable oil to a medium mixing bowl. Mix until batter is smooth and the poor into your bundt cake pan that is already greased or has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.

Transfer pan to the oven and bake for 20-24 minutes. When done allow cake to sit until completely cooled. Flip pan onto a plate and let the cake gentle fall out of the pan.

To make icing, take the icing packet and add a 1-2 Tbsp of water one Tbsp at a time to get the desired thickness. For additional steps, add one cup of peanut butter to the icing and mix. Pour icing over cake and crush up bisquits and crumble over the top of the cake! Then serve a slice to your pup!

Store in the fridge for 3 days or in the freezer for a week.

Christmas Cookies

Greetings, Puppy Cake Creators! As we approach Christmas morning I know one of my favorite memories as a child and as an adult is baking Christmas cookies for my loved ones and for Santa of course! With Puppy Cake Holiday Cookie you can include you furry friends on that the list of cookie recipients! So grab your cookie cutters and holiday spirit! Let's get started!

What You'll Need:

1 Holiday Cookie Mix
Holiday Cookie Cutters
Pipping Kit (Optional)
Food Coloring
½ cup plain Greek yogurt
½ cup tapioca starch
2 – 3 tsp of low fat milk

Start by pre-heating your oven to 350 and covering your cookie sheet with parchment paper.

To make the cookies, start by mixing your egg, oil, water, and cookie mix in a medium sized bowl. Then take your dough, flour your surface area, and begin rolling out your dough until it is about a half inch think. Once you have rolled your dough begin cutting out the shape and filling your cookie sheet.Then place the cookies into the oven for 5-8 min (Check after 5 min). Wait until cookies are cool before decorating.

While cookies are cooling, make the icing. In a small mixing bowl combine tapioca starch, and greek yogurt. Once mixed add in tsp of milk at a time to reach desired thickness. Then separate icing evenly between three tiny containers, add green food coloring to one and red to another, leave the last bowl white. Transfer icing into pipping bag and begin decorating.

Once done, serve a beautifully decorated cookie to your pooch!

Store the rest in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Ice Cream Carob Mug Cakes

Hello Puppy Cake Creators! One of my favorite things about the cold weather is curling up on the couch, snuggled up with a blanket, drinking hot cocoa out of a large mug! The chocolate aroma fills up the entire room and its pure bliss. So I was thinking I wanted to share this amazing experience with my furry best friend then I realized with Puppy Cake I could. Carob is a safe and healthy chocolate substitute for dogs to consume! So this week I am making my pup an Ice Cream Carob Mug Cake.

What You’ll Need

1 Carob Puppy Cake Mix

1 Cup of Carob Puppy Scoops

1 Large Mug (Microwave safe)

Before you begin on the cake, take your cup of Puppy Scoops Carob empty the mix back into the cup, add 1/3 cup of water to the ice cream mix and stir until the clumps are completely gone. Place in the freezer for at least 5 hours.

To make the cake, grab a large mug from your collection of mugs making sure that is it microwave safe.

Then take your carob cake mix box and empty the cake mix into a medium-sized bowl. Add an egg, ¾ cup of water, and ¼ cup of vegetable oil to the cake mix and stir thoroughly until all clumps are gone.

Next, fill up your mug with cake mix until it reaches a little over halfway full. Then place the mug into the microwave for two minutes. Once the cake is completely baked hollow out the center of the cake. While your mug is cooling take out your ice cream to thaw for 15 min.

Once your cake has cooled and the ice cream has thawed scoop some carob ice cream into the hole you scooped out of your cake. Then cover the top with the leftover cake from what you hollowed out.

For an extra step, you can add icing to the top. All you have to do is empty the icing mix into a small bowl and add 2-3 tbsps of water and mix thoroughly. Add to the top of the cake immediately.

Now you are ready to serve your ice cream carob mug cake to your furry best friend!

Red Velvet & Banana Shortcake

Hello, Puppy Cake Creators! I thought for the holiday season it would be a fun idea to create a “dog-friendly” twist on the famous Strawberry Shortcake recipe. The finished product reminds me of candy canes and peppermint swirls, I really think you'll love it! So let's get started!

What You’ll Need:

1 box of Puppy Cake’s Red Velvet Cake Mix

1 box of Puppy Cake’s Banana Cake Mix

2 6” round cake pans

3” round cookie-cuter

First, pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees and spray each cake pan with non-stick cooking spray.

Next, we need to make our red velvet cake mix. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, 1 egg, 1/4 cup of oil, and 3/4 cup of water. Mix until all ingredients are blended, and lumps are gone in the batter. Once the batter is completely mixed, pour the cake batter evenly into one of your 6” round cake pans.

Now, we need to make our banana cake mix. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, 1 egg, 1/4 cup of oil, and 3/4 cup of water. Mix until all ingredients are blended, and lumps are gone in the batter. Once the batter is completely mixed, pour the cake batter evenly into your remaining 6” round cake pan.

Place the cake pans in the oven for about 20 minutes or until a toothpick placed in the center of the cake comes out clean

Once both cake pans have been removed from the oven and the cakes have cooled, you can start cutting out the 3” circles, which you will need to assemble the shortcake. You should be able to cut out three 3” circles from each flavor. This will allow you to make two shortcakes.

Now we need to make the icing. You will need to use both packets for each cake. Add both packets of icing to a small to medium-sized mixing. Then add 4 TBSP of water. * You can add more or less water to the icing for your desired consistency.

Once you have your circles and icing ready you can start assembling each cake. Place one of the red velvet circles on a plate and a small dollop of icing and spread the icing to cover the top of the cake. Then add a banana circle down on top of the red velvet circle and spreading a dollop of icing all over the top. Finally, repeat the last step with a red velvet circle. Repeat these steps to make your second shortcake.

For an added fun step, crumble up the cake leftover from your circles and use it as a garnish for each shortcake.

Now your gorgeous shortcake is ready for your pup to enjoy! Cut a thin slice of cake, and serve to your furry friend! Please remember this dog treat should only be fed to your dog in moderation and take into consideration their height and weight when serving them a slice.

To store, place the cake in an airtight container for up to 5 days. You can also place it in the freezer for 2 months!

Pawfect Red Velvet Waffles

Hello, Puppy Cake Creators! I don’t know about you, but one of my favorite things about Christmas is waking up on Christmas morning and making breakfast with my loved ones, doggie included! So I was thinking my pup needs their very own breakfast treat and I ended up creating a “dog-friendly” version of America’s favorite breakfast food… Waffles. I really think you'll love it! So let's get started!

What You’ll Need:

1 box of Puppy Cake’s Red Velvet Cake Mix

1 Pint of Smart Scoops Blueberry Ice Cream Mix for dogs (This should be made prior to making your waffles- Add 2/3 cup of water, stir the mix and freeze. Freeze for at least 5 hours)

Waffle Maker

First, pre-heat your waffle maker and spray the panels with non-stick cooking spray. Remove blueberry ice cream mix from the freezer and let it thaw while you're making the waffles.

Next, we need to make our red velvet cake mix. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, 1 egg, 1/4 cup of oil, and 3/4 cup of water. Mix until all ingredients are blended, and lumps are gone in the batter. Once the batter is completely mixed, use a few scoops until the bottom waffle maker panel is covered but not overflowing with cake batter. Cook until done. Repeat until you have used up all of the batter.

Decorating is always my favorite part! To start, lay a waffle down on a plate and drizzle with icing then top with two to three small scoops of blueberry ice cream.

These waffles are now ready for your pup to devour! Please remember this dog treat should only be fed to your dog in moderation and take into consideration their height and weight when serving them. Instead of using a whole waffle break off a fourth and decorate in the same way.

To store, place the cake in an airtight container for up to 5 days. You can also place it in the freezer for 2 months!

Delicious Pumpkin and Carob Layered Cake

Hello, Puppy Cake Creators! This week we are going back to the basics and creating a fun layered cake with our pumpkin and carob cake mix! I know my dog absolutely LOVES pumpkin and carob, so I thought why not make a cake that uses both mixes? Plus, these colors together are beautiful!

Let’s get started on how to make your dog their very own “Pumpkin & Carob” Layered Cake. First, let's start with what you’ll need to bake this cake:

1 box of Pumpkin Spice Cake Mix (wheat-free)

2 boxes of Carob Cake Mix

3 Icing packets – which are included in each cake mix box

3 – 6” Round Cake Pans

First, pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees and spray each cake pan with non-stick cooking spray.

We are going to make both carob layers at the same time so we need to double the recipe on the back of the cake. In a large mixing bowl, combine both boxes of cake mix, 2 eggs, 1/2 cup of oil, and 1 and 1/4 cup of water. Mix until all ingredients are blended, and lumps are gone in the batter. Once the batter is completely mixed, pour the carob cake batter evenly into two of the three cake pans.

Next, we need to make our pumpkin cake mix. We are only making one pumpkin layer so we can follow the directions on the box. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, 1 egg, 1/4 cup of oil, and 3/4 cup of water. Mix until all ingredients are blended, and lumps are gone in the batter. Once the batter is completely mixed, pour the pumpkin cake batter evenly into the remaining cake pan.

Place the cake pans in the oven for about 20 minutes or until a toothpick placed in the center of the cake comes out clean

Once all three cake pans have been removed from the oven and the cake has cooled, you can start making the icing. Each box of cake mix contains a packet of yogurt icing. You will need to use all three packets of icing on the cake! Add all three packets of icing to a small to medium sized mixing. When the 3-layered cake has been formed, complete the cake by icing the entire cake, top and sides!

Its Banana's, B-A-N-A-N-A-S Cake!

Anyways, Banana cake is always a fan favorite, even for dogs. My pup loves everything banana and peanut butter. So why not combine the two fabulous flavors? Banana cake with peanut butter frosting! YUM!

Our cake mixes for dogs are made with human grade ingredients, they are all natural and are made right here in the USA. Our banana cake mix contains whole wheat flour, a small amount of cane sugar, baking powder, a small amount of salt and natural banana flavor. And the best part, our Puppy Cake mixes are formulated for your dog’s belly. So easy to make, our cake mixes bake just like a regular cake.

Let’s get started on how to make a yummy Banana and Peanut Butter cake for your dog!

What You’ll Need:

2 Boxes of Puppy Cake’s Banana Cake Mix

Egg

Oil

Water

2 – 6” round baking pans

½ Cup of Peanut Butte

Steps:

To begin, preheat your oven to 350 degrees

Spray both 6”-round baking pans with non-stick cooking spray.

Prepare both cake mixes by following the directions on the back of the box. Once the mix, egg, water and oil are mixed well and lumps are gone, pour into the baking pan and place both pans in the oven.

Cook both cakes for 22 minutes, checking the middle of each cake and making sure a toothpick comes out clean.

When both cake pans have been removed from the oven, start on the icing. Each box of cake mix contains a packet of yogurt icing. You’ll want to use both packets of icing on the cakes! Each packet of icing requires 2 TBSP of water. Mix one packet at a time. **We are going to use one packet of icing for the middle of the cakes and one packet of icing for the top of the cake WITH peanut butter.

Once the cakes have cooled, place one of the banana cakes on a plate and spread the icing to cover the top of the cake. Once the icing is spread completely, place the other cake on top. Then mix the second packet of icing with 2 TBSP of water and ¼ cup of peanut butter together until smooth. Spread evenly over the top of the cake and garnish with thin slices of banana.

*Please consider the size of your pup and feed them in moderation. Another option is to use only 1 box of banana cake mix and split the batter between 2 cake pans.
