Our dog just turned 983 years old and we got her the birthday cake flavor.Once the water was added, mix almost immediately turned into a creamy batter-like consistency and I did not have any issues with lumps at all. The instructions say to use the sprinkles as a topping, but I mixed it directly into the ice cream. You pour everything right back into the container and freeze it. I was scared it would be icy, but it was truly creamy. The sprinkles did not dissolve either, which was my other concern. The ol? lady loved it and her tastebuds probably don?t even work anymore!!! She immediately forgot about it and went back to being confused about why she is still alive, and went to yell at some kids in our front yard.Highly recommend!

regular ice cream gives my dog diarrhea... i was hoping this ice cream wouldn'thowever i was well prepared for the inevitable...it definitely gave him the runs, but he also ate the entire container in under five minutes (big dog)four stars because he really liked it,easy to make, and it did look/smell a lot like ice cream, but maybe not the best if your dog has a sensitive tummy

    too hard

about 1/8th of top is scoop-able due to air bubbles from mixing, everything under that is rock hard and not scoop-able unless you leave pint out to melt for 10-15 minutes which defeats the reason i got this vanilla pet ice cream ?with? sugar in it. i need it to be ready to be scooped every time i open it so to give some of it quickly to my dog after a seizure.. not to mention even had i just bought it to give some to dog after going outside/etc, having to defrost the pint some and refreezing what is left isn?t feasible to us.. i may buy another to see if adding like 1/8-1/4th of tara gum helps it stay softer, if not back to store bought ice cream for him..
