Oh, thankfully it’s that time of year again, Fall! It’s my absolute favorite time where the weather is crisp and cool, the leaves are falling, and I get to snuggle up with my Bernese Mountain Dog and drink PSL’s like they are goin’ out of style ?? I do know my pup is ready to rid the heat and play out in the cool weather. Heat is not her friend when she has all that fur!!!
In celebration of Fall coming in just 15 days (and now that PSL’s are officially available), I decided to make a “dog version” of the popular autumn drink – Pumpkin Cinnamon Frappe! I know I know, my dog is going to be “that dog” but hey, she’s going to love this drink.
So, for all of my Fall-loving, dog-loving, PSL lovers out there, this one is for you! Let’s get started.
Here is what you’ll need to make your dog a PCF (Pumpkin Cinnamon Frappe):
- -A mug to allow your pup to drink her/ his Frappe out of (A bowl can work too ??)
- -A cup of Puppy Cake’s Pumpkin Smart Scoops Ice Cream Mix
- -Blender
- -Chicken Broth
- -Cinnamon and/or cinnamon sticks
Here we go!
To begin, decide what kind of bowl/mug your going to put this drink in for your dog. For the purpose of this blog, I’m putting my frappe in a very large mug so I’m going to need 2 cups of Pumpkin Ice Cream Mix. And instead of Palmer, my BMD, I took pictures of my boss’s rescue dog, Gary, who has the cutest mustache and who would LOVE this drink.
First, scoop out the entire container of pumpkin ice cream into the blender and add ½ cup of chicken broth. Then blend together to create the frappe consistency your dog will love.
It’s that easy!
Once the ice cream and chicken broth are blended well, pour into a bowl or mug and garnish with some cinnamon or even add a cinnamon stick to be “extra” ??
And the final step, let your pup enjoy his/ her delicious Frappe, made just for them! (if they don’t finish their delicious drink, pop the remaining drink into the freezer until next time!
