I don’t know about you but there are so many other recipes I love that don’t include pumpkin! One of my ALL time favorites is Banana Bread. My grandma has the best recipe and the other day I made a loaf for myself and the aroma that filled my kitchen was heavenly.
So I got to thinking that my pup would probably love a loaf of their own! Today, lets bake a scrumptious loaf of warm, banana cinnamon bread, made specifically for your pup.
You only need a few ingredients:
1 box of Banana Cake Mix for Dogs
1 Egg
¾ cup water
¼ cup oil
1 TBSP of Cinnamon
1 Bread Loaf Pan
To begin, preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Spray the bread loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray and set aside. In a large bowl, empty the contents of the banana cake mix and mix together the egg, water and oil. Stir well!
When all lumps are removed from the batter, pour the batter into the bread loaf pan. Sprinkle 1 TBSP of cinnamon on the top of the banana batter and with a toothpick or knife, gently swirl the cinnamon around the batter. (You can add additional cinnamon to the batter if you’d like!)
Place the bread loaf pan into the oven for about 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Let cool completely!
This step is optional, in a smaller bowl, make the icing by mixing together the icing mix and 2 TSP of water. Mix well. *If desired, add more water to the icing mix. Then drizzle onto the top of the loaf!
Cut into the bread loaf pan and spread the icing mix on the top of a slice of warm, delicious banana cinnamon bread! SERVE to your pup!
