Let’s just get down to it; What is a birthday without cake? Exactly… it’s not a birthday. Every single birthday I’ve had has included a birthday cake and blowing out birthday candles. That’s the best part, right?! Oh, and getting presents, definitely the presents too!!
Your birthday is the one day where you’re made to feel special (if not every day). Wouldn’t you want your pup to feel special on their day too? Puppy Cake created a healthy, delicious and fun way to celebrate your dogs special day each year. (And let’s be honest, it doesn’t have to be your birthday to feel special OR eat cake ??) Our cake mixes are made with all-natural, made in the USA products and formulated for your dog’s tummy. Instead of searching on Pinterest or Googling “Safe cakes to feed your dog”, let me help you! Here at Puppy Cake, we made it super easy and fun to bake your dog a cake for his/her birthday. Our cake mixes come complete with icing too! You just have to add an egg, oil and water! If your dog’s birthday or “Gotcha Day” is coming up soon, bake them a Puppy Cake.
Here is what you’ll need:
1 Box of Banana Cake Mix
1 Egg
¼ c of Oil
3/4 c of Water
For the Icing: 2 TBSP of Water
Start by pre-heating your oven to 350 degrees. Then follow the directions on the back of the cake box by mixing 1 egg, 3/4 cup of water and ¼ cup of oil. Mix until all ingredients are blended together and lumps are gone in the batter.
Spray 1 – 6” cake pan with non-stick cooking spray and pour the banana cake batter into the cake pan. Place the cake pan in the oven for about 20 minutes until a toothpick placed in the center of the cake comes out clean. * You can also bake cupcakes too. Our cake mix bakes 8 cupcakes or 24 mini cupcakes.
Once the cake is completely cooled, decorate as desired. Each box of cake mix comes with icing. To make the icing, mix 2 TBSP of water with the icing and stir well. For a thicker icing consistency, mix the completed icing with 2 TBSP of peanut butter!!
