Good Morning, pumpkin pancakes anyone? As a Fall treat for your pup, bake pumpkin spice pancakes for your dog on a nice, crispy Fall morning. Our pumpkin spice cake mix can be made into any treat, even pancakes!
Let’s Bake! Follow the directions on the back of the cake mix box. You will need:
1 box of Pumpkin Spice Cake Mix for Dogs
1 egg
¾ cup of water
¼ cup of oil
½ cup of peanut butter
1 TBSP of oil
In a large bowl, empty the contents of the pumpkin spice cake mix for dogs and add 1 egg, ¾ cup of water, ¼ cup of oil and stir well, until all lumps are removed. Spray a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Using a large spoon, spoon out a small amount of cake batter like you would for making pancakes. Leave about 3” between each dollop of cake batter. Place in the oven for about 5-6 minutes, until each pancake is golden brown. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and allow to cool completely.
Once the pumpkin spice pancakes are cooled, make the “syrup”! In a small bowl, mix ½ cup of peanut butter and 1 TBSP of oil together and mix well, until the peanut butter turns smooth. (Add a little more oil to the peanut butter for more of a thinner consistency, like syrup!)
Place the pumpkin spice pancakes on a plate for your dog and drizzle the peanut butter “syrup” on top!
Finally, SERVE!!!!
