Ever wonder if the soft serve ice cream machine you’ve had in your cupboard was ever going to be put to use. Well NOW you can use it for YOUR DOG! Yep, you read that correctly. Our Puppy Scoops ice cream mix for dogs comes in a powdered form. But by adding water to the mix, you can pour the mixture into the soft serve ice cream machine and create soft serve ice cream for your dog!
First, follow the directions for your soft serve ice cream machine. The machine I have is the Cuisinart Soft Serve Ice Cream Machine. Then make your ice cream. Purchase your dogs’ favorite flavor of ice cream mix. I’ll be using vanilla ice cream mix for this tutorial. You can purchase the ice cream mix for dogs on Amazon HERE.
Grab a cup of your ice cream mix and add 2/3 cup of warm tap water to the cup and stir well, making sure all lumps are removed. For faster results, add water and empty the contents of the cup into a blender and mix well.
Once your soft serve ice cream machine is set up and turned on, add the ice cream mix to the freezer bowl by pouring through the opening in the lid. Soft serve ice cream will be finished in as little as 20 minutes, depending on the type of ice cream machine you have.
After 20 minutes, and you determined when to dispense, hold the Puppy Scoops cup under the chute and pull down on the handle to dispense soft serve ice cream for your dog. It’s that easy.
Add whatever toppings your pup enjoys, like bacon bits or crushed up puppy-treats. Maybe even add a dollop of peanut butter on top. The options are endless!
