We cant get enough Pumpkin flavored things in the fall so we are continuing our Pumpkin Spice recipes for dogs with a Pumpkin Dream Cake! This is a 3-layered Pumpkin Spice cake, made exclusively for your four-legged furry friend. I know tier cake can be a little intimidating but I promise to walk you through every step! And hey, as long as it tastes good who cares what it looks like, right?!
What You’ll Need:
3 Boxes of Pumpkin Spice Cake Mix (Icing is included with every box)
Eggs
Oil
Water
1 ½ cups of crushed dog food
Steps:
First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Spray all three 6” round cake pan with non-stick cooking spray.
Empty the contents of each cake mix bag (3 in total) into a large mixing bowl
Add 3 eggs, 2 and 1/4 cups of water, and 1 cup of vegetable oil into the mixing bowl with your cake mix.
Pour the cake batter evenly into each of you three pan.
Put all of your pans into the oven for 24 minutes (Make sure to rotate pans every 8 min for even baking).
Remove cakes after 24 min or until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.
While cakes are cooling make the icing. Each cake mix comes complete with a packet of icing. Open one packet of icing and add 2 TBSP of water and stir well. Spread evenly on one cake then sprinkle with crushed dog food. Then layer on top with another cake and repeat with the icing and crushed dog food.
Once your cake is complete, cut a slice for your pup and serve!!!
