It’s officially Fall y’all! I don’t know about you but I am pretty darn excited. Fall is all about the leaves changing, sweater weather and PUMPKIN EVERYTHING, and I mean everything, including Pumpkin Cake Mix for dogs! One of my favorite fall, pumpkin treats are whoopie pies, but in this case Woofie Pies because they are completely safe for your dog! Give your dog a little something “extra” this time of the year. Why not make your dog their very own Pumpkin Spice Woofie Pie’s?
I know there are different levels of bakers out there but I promise this one is perfect from beginner to master baker!
Here is what you need:
Puppy Cake’s Pumpkin Spice Cake Mix for Dogs (Icing is included in the box of cake mix! Just add water!)
1 Egg
¾ cup of water
¼ cup of oil
Steps:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees! Follow the directions on the back of the cake mix box, by adding egg, water and oil until batter is smooth.
Once mixed together and the lumps are smooth, scoop batter using a spoon or 1 tablespoon worth of batter onto a baking sheet. Make sure to spray your cookie sheet with non-stick cookie spray.
Make 24 dollops so that youre able to make 12 complete Woofie Pies.
Place the cookie sheet into the oven for about 5-7 minutes. Once those are baked, let cool completely.
While your cake halves are cooling, start mixing up the icing. Empty the icing contents into a small bowl and add 2 TBSP of water. (If you feel like the icing is too thick, add small drops of water until your happy with the consistency of the icing.
Once the pumpkin cake halves are cooled completely, add a spoonful of icing onto one half of the cake. (Start out with a little so you know you have enough for all 12 of the cake halves)
Once all 12 halves are iced, add the other half of the cake to create and complete the Woofie Pie.
Final step, serve to your pup!!!!
